Dr. Sunil Kumar, is an alumnus of Cochin University of Science and Technology, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and University College London. He is a Gold Medallist who graduated in 1990 and acquired further qualifications in 1993, 1998 and 2011. He has rich industrial experience in the ship design, shipbuilding and marine repair industries in varied fields like design and repairs of ships & submarines,management of new construction projects, production and project management. He served on the faculty of Naval Architecture of Cochin University of Science and Technology for 6 years. Later, he worked in the hydrodynamic research wing of Indian defence research and development organisation. He was awarded PhD for his studies in the field of ultimate strength and reliability of ship structures. Dr Sunil Kumar is abreast with all latest trends and techniques in the domain of Ship Research, Design and Building process. He is a member of Institution of Naval Architects, India and Royal Institution of Naval Architects, UK.
